1948 Indian Chief, 3,000 miles, 1948 Indian Chief
Perfect inside and out. This bike was restored from a nice original (no odd pile of parts!) by a long-time national officer of the AMCA. No patched-over fender holes, no over “restoration” or glitzy aftermarket stuff. This bike is as new. It has reached the rare and coveted “Winners Circle” status at the Antique Motorcycle Club of America (AMCA) Chief Blackhawk Meet.
For you folks unfamiliar with all of this: It is a pedigree of perfection to which relatively few motorcycles get (for instance, the AMCA disqualifies a bike with non-matching numbers—no matter how it looks). I have ridden this Indian about 3,000 miles, and it’s as good as it looks--rider, trailer queen or both—it’s your choice.
I also have various manuals, tools, and a couple of thousand bucks of mint spares, including windshield, generator, battery, cables, linkages, lines…the list is too long to list it all.
